Who we are

Luma & Lantern Publishing is an independent children's book imprint. This policy covers the website lumaandlantern.com and the in-house software tools we use to publish our own content ("Luma & Lantern content tools"). Contact: marketing@lumaandlantern.com.

What we collect

• Email address — only when you submit it in a sign-up form (new-book alerts or free printables). We record the address, the time, and the submitting IP address (for abuse prevention).
• Server logs — like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, pages requested).

We do not use advertising, analytics trackers, or marketing cookies on this site.

How we use it

Your email address is used only to send you the updates you asked for — launch news and, if you requested them, links to free downloads. Sign-ups are stored in a protected file on our web host and, once our email service is configured, forwarded to our email service provider (Brevo) so we can send those updates. We never sell, rent, or share your information with anyone else.

Unsubscribing & deletion

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email marketing@lumaandlantern.com at any time and we will delete your address from our records.

Children

Our books are for children, but this website and our emails are intended for parents, guardians, and educators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted an email address, contact us and we will delete it.

Embedded videos

Pages on this site may embed our YouTube videos. The player loads when you press play; from that point YouTube's own privacy policy applies.

Our content tools

The Luma & Lantern content tools are single-user, in-house programs that connect to platform APIs (such as YouTube, Pinterest, Meta, and Brevo) solely to publish our own original content to our own accounts and to read analytics about our own accounts. They are not distributed to third parties, do not access other users' accounts or personal data, and store their access credentials locally on our own equipment. Data obtained from Google APIs is used in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
